Technical Specialist (GSE & Spare Parts)

ABOUT THE JOB

We are in full transition from a European leading service provider of airport equipment solutions to a global leader. Therefore we are looking for a Technical Specialist (GSE & Spare Parts), based at our HQ in Steenokkerzeel.

As Technical Specialist you are a key member of the Group Operations Team.

You will support our operations and related improvement projects with your technical knowledge of GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and their spare parts.  

For this position, we are eager to find a highly motivated professional with a technical background, willing to continuously learn and share his knowledge, in a very dynamic and international environment.

 

WHERE YOU’LL CREATE THE MOST IMPACT

You will be supporting our business by being the point of contact in the following key areas:

1. Maintenance support

  • You assist with the group maintenance plans for our growing fleet of 30,000 + assets
  • You assist with maintenance analysis and forecasting of the life-cycle of GSE
  • You ensure the OEM technical documentation is up to date and available for the group
  • You are responsible for the validation of new maintenance documents so that they are in line with the specifications of governing bodies and OEM’s

2. Technical support

  • You support the operations team with the ongoing technical activities (escalation of technical issues, new equipment, telematics,…)
  • You provide ongoing support to the master data team when technical knowledge or search is required.
  • You support start up of new entities and fleet conversions when required

3. Spare parts

  • You support spare parts related projects within the operations team and within the group
  • You will be the point of contact for the local operations for spare parts related questions.
  • In this role you will be also in contact with suppliers to discuss technical and quality topics.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • It is a big advantage if you have previous experience with ground support equipment
  • You have a strong electromechanical background: working knowledge of the Heavy Diesel, Construction Equipment or Material Handling Industry.
  • You have a can-do mentality and take initiative
  • You have a proven track record of previous experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and problem solving.
  • English is not a problem for you – both written and verbal.
  • You are a teamplayer and looking forward to work in great team.
