We have an exciting role as a GSE mechanic within our Australian business, available for an enthusiastic and motivated trade-qualified mechanic keen to join a supportive and collaborative team on a full-time basis.  

The mechanic's position involves utilizing your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to repair and maintain ground support equipment. You will report daily to the Shift Supervisor however will ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager. Your role involves following service guidelines and data as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. The variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment means there is an opportunity to bring a wide collection of knowledge, skills, and experience to the role.

The Group is active since 1999 in providing Ground Support Equipment Maintenance, Rental, and Fleet Management to Ground Handlers, Airlines, and Airports.  The GSE term encompasses all equipment used in aviation ground operations, such as; push-back tractors, loaders, tractors, belt loaders, catering trucks, ground power units and air starter units, tow bars, trailers-dollies, baggage carts, and other general equipment in an airport. 

What we offer:

SIGN ON BONUS up to $3000 (guaranteed $1000: if you have up to 2 years airport GSE experience $2000, if you have over 2 years airport GSE experience $3000)

Position Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate

  • Must have own tools

  • Must hold a current driver’s license

  • Experience in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding preferred

  • Willingness to undertake ASIC background checks for security access

  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical check

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base hourly rate $40-42/hr commensurate with qualifications and experience

  • Uniforms supplied and laundered

  • 2 additional leave days from work, over and above your annual leave

  • 10.5 % Superannuation

  • Overtime Penalties
