Vehicle Maintenance Technician
π Location: Liverpool

π Hours: Full-time β Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm
π The Opportunity
TMS/TCR is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on our vehicle fleet to a high standard. This role is crucial to ensuring operational reliability, compliance with safety regulations, and adherence to ISO standards.
π Key Responsibilities
β’ π§ Undertake repairs and routine maintenance on TCR and associated vehicles
β’ π§ͺ Perform inspections, brake/smoke tests, and confirm defects with the Operations Manager
β’ π Record job progress via SAP and complete end-of-day updates
β’ π Diagnose faults and report work/parts needed before starting repairs
β’ π·οΈ Ensure accurate parts management and correct labelling for warranty/exchange units
β’ π¨ Notify the Operations Manager of urgent VOR parts and job completions
β’ π Maintain clear, concise job card and SAP entries with accurate time tracking
β’ π Quarantine and report defective tools or equipment immediately
β’ π Submit daily manual time sheets and log all non-productive hours correctly

β’ High-quality repair and maintenance standards
β’ Accurate time tracking and SAP updates
β’ Low levels of sickness and absence
β’ Proper use of workshop systems and safety protocols

β’ Adhere to all safety rules and use correct PPE at all times
β’ Report all accidents, hazards, and unsafe practices immediately
β’ Support the companyβs continuous safety improvements

ISO Compliance
β’ Follow all procedures under ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 frameworks
β’ Maintain compliance with waste segregation and documentation standards
β’ Ensure all work is aligned with internal management systems (IMS)

City & Guilds or equivalent in Motor Mechanics (essential)
β’ β
Experience in vehicle maintenance and customer-focused environments
β’ β
Understanding of H&S regulations and workshop best practices
β’ β
Analytical with good communication and organisational skills
π Desirable Experience & Qualifications
β’ π LGV Class 2 Licence
β’ π¦Ί Forklift Licence
β’ π§ Operational vehicle or logistics background

β’ Strong team player with a proactive, professional approach
β’ Capable of managing tasks independently and resolving issues efficiently
